Planning Inquiry - 200 homes
The Inquiry started on 23rd July and Cllr Gill Williams read out the parish council's statement - you can read it here.  The Inquiry was adjourned and will now resume for one day on 18th October.

Parish Councillors
At the meeting on 9th September the councillors elected Cllr Gill Williams to serve as Chairman until May 2020, following the resignation of Jim Baines last month.

There are still two seats vacant on the council and so any resident wishing to be co-opted should contact the Clerk for information.  You do not have to be nominated - anyone can stand (subject to eligibility rules - click here and see section 1 which applies to co-option as well as election).

NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN
The results of the First Survey have been delivered to every household in the parish now.
As always, any resident interested in helping to get the Plan drafted will be welcomed by the Group. Please note that the meeting scheduled to take place on Thursday 31st October 2019 at 7.15pm has been cancelled. Details of the next meeting will be published here when the date has been confirmed. Contact the Clerk (Naomi Bibi) on 07453 358318 or Chair of Council (Gill Williams) on 01934 813255 for more details.  Click here to go to the Bleadon Neighbourhood Plan website.

BLEADON IN BLOOM - JUDGES WERE IMPRESSED.
The Judges were delighted to be welcomed by so many Bleadon residents and 'Bloomers'.  They were particularly impressed with the innovations such as Tub Parents and the children's involvement with the Blue Hearts.  We now have to wait until October to hear whether we have won a Pennant Award.  Thanks go to everyone involved and particularly to Cllr Hemingway who has driven this project forward so successfully over the last year.  Click here for the lovely card received from the Judges.

The next Parish Council meeting is at 7pm on Monday 11th November 2019, in the Coronation Hall. Please click here for the Full Agenda Pack.
